Experience

We develop, engineer, manufacture and test all of our cranes and trolleys in-house. KITO VAN LEUSDEN sets high standards for safety, durability, track- and traceability. We are used to working with all well-known certification institutes like ABS, DNV, BV, Lloyds and RMRS. KITO VAN LEUSDEN is ISO9001 certified. This experience guarantees our know-how and commitment to delivering high quality products. Van Leusden has become a part of the European KITO Group since 2018.

1890

Van Leusden was founded as a blacksmith shop in the centre of Rotterdam named “Addicks en Dirckx”.

1950

J.H. Van Leusden took over the company

1956

Start building trolley, hoists and crane system, “ATLAS” trolley was registered

1971

The company moved to the south of the Netherlands – Etten-Leur

1980

Van Leusden changed their strategy from building standard cranes to developing more specialized hoisting solutions

1985

Increased operations in international markets

1995

Van Leusden increased focus on more particular markets, such as maritime and offshore markets

2002

Introduction of the first manual explosion protected chain hoist (ATEX)

2011

Van Leusden moved to it’s current location in Moerdijk

2018

KITO Europe GmbH acquired 37.5% of Van Leusden

2019

KITO Europe GmbH acquired 75% of Van Leusden

2020

KITO VAN LEUSDEN is 100% part of the KITO Group in Europe
